Electrical Engineering Studies Arc Flash Studies MEI provides full-service turn-key projects involving: In-the-field data collection performed by MEI Employees. Performing all modeling, analysis and engineering studies by MEI engineers. Producing detailed reports and electrical one-line drawings. Providing and installing arc flash labels on electrical equipment. Providing electrical arc flash safety training for client’s employees. Protective Device Coordination Studies Experts in short circuit analysis and device sequence-of- operation, MEI provides coordination studies for existing equipment upgrades, new construction, and clients needing solutions to power system operating problems. Load Flow, Power Factor Correction, and Harmonics Studies Experts in power system analysis, MEI provides engineering studies for power system improvements, expansions, and   new construction. Studies typically include power data monitoring, logging of existing power systems for analysis, and identifying load flow issues such as excessive voltage drop, low power factor, overloading, and harmonics. Utility Power System Studies With a strong background in utility power system engineering, MEI provides power system studies for utility power distribution systems, public or private. Types of system studies include: Power System Impact Studies for Distributed Generation Systems (Wind/Solar) Load Flow Studies, including power factor correction and load balancing for improving system efficiency and decreasing system losses.
